How our billing works (clear, predictable rules)

We keep billing simple so you can make decisions quickly. For packages up to 5.00 kg we round up to the nearest 0.5 kg. For packages above 5.00 kg, we switch to whole-kilo billing. No hidden tiers, no surprises. This makes it easy to use the calculator below to see — in real time — how many grams you can still add without increasing the billed weight.

The power of the free buffer

Consider a package weighing 1.20 kg. Under our rules it is billed as 1.5 kg. That means you can add up to 300 g more and still remain within the same billed increment. The calculator tells you that buffer in grams — and these buffers are how customers save: add small items, fill gaps, and avoid stepping into the next billed bracket.

Why price-per-kilo drops as weight rises

Shipping has a fixed portion — handling, paperwork, packaging — and a variable portion tied to weight. When billed weight increases, the fixed costs are spread across more kilos, so the effective per-kilo cost goes down. That’s why we visually represent the discount relationship in the dual-ring chart: you’ll see cost drop gradually between 1 kg and 5 kg (up to 30% drop), and continue decreasing up to 50% at 10 kg, capturing the economic reality of bulk shipping.

How to use this calculator to save
