Shop from Egypt to the world โ pay less per kilo when you add more
Smart shipping is not about cutting corners โ itโs about clever choices. Our billing is simple and transparent: add small items, use your free grams buffer, and watch the effective cost fall as billed weight rises. Use the calculator embedded below to experiment โ then ship with confidence.
Why consolidation matters โ and how to make it work for you
Every parcel has a story. The first page of yours should be: keep it simple, keep it consolidated. When you combine items, you often pay less per kilo because fixed handling and routing costs are shared across more weight. Thatโs the principle behind our billing method โ and the reason small choices like adding a 200g item can reduce the per-kilo charge without changing the billed weight.
How our billing works (clear, predictable rules)
We keep billing simple so you can make decisions quickly. For packages up to 5.00 kg we round up to the nearest 0.5 kg. For packages above 5.00 kg, we switch to whole-kilo billing. No hidden tiers, no surprises. This makes it easy to use the calculator below to see โ in real time โ how many grams you can still add without increasing the billed weight.
The power of the free buffer
Consider a package weighing 1.20 kg. Under our rules it is billed as 1.5 kg. That means you can add up to 300 g more and still remain within the same billed increment. The calculator tells you that buffer in grams โ and these buffers are how customers save: add small items, fill gaps, and avoid stepping into the next billed bracket.
Why price-per-kilo drops as weight rises
Shipping has a fixed portion โ handling, paperwork, packaging โ and a variable portion tied to weight. When billed weight increases, the fixed costs are spread across more kilos, so the effective per-kilo cost goes down. That’s why we visually represent the discount relationship in the dual-ring chart: youโll see cost drop gradually between 1 kg and 5 kg (up to 30% drop), and continue decreasing up to 50% at 10 kg, capturing the economic reality of bulk shipping.
How to use this calculator to save
- Set your parcel weight: use the handle or click the bar to set actual weight in 0.01โ0.1 kg steps.
- Check the billed weight: the widget shows the rounded billed weight based on our rules.
- Use your free grams: if it shows โAdd up to 300 g free,โ add small items (cables, accessories) and increase your parcel value without increasing shipping fees.
Real examples โ intuitive wins
Example A: 1.2 kg โ billed 1.5 kg. Add up to 300 g free. Example B: 7.2 kg โ billed 8 kg. Add up to 800 g free. In both cases, by using the free buffer you preserve the billed weight while adding value. Over many orders this behavior reduces average shipping cost and increases your margin or allows you to offer better prices to customers.
Design that helps decisions
We designed every visual โ the slider, the free-weight badge, the dual-ring chart โ to aid quick decisions. The orange accents guide your eye to action; the clean, white cards give the information space to breathe. This is hybrid premium design: confident, modern, conversion-focused.
Trust and support
Transparency is only useful when combined with support. Our help center and care team are available if you need packing tips, rules clarification, or claims assistance. Shipping is a logistics challenge โ but it doesnโt have to be a mystery.
